Bhutanese Youth Sports Club, USA have entered the semi-finals of the fifth Bagmati Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament in Makwanpur.

BYSC entered the last four after defeating Himalayan Sherpa Club 2-0 in the third quarterfinal on Thursday.

BYSC took the lead in the second minute of the match at Janata Ma Vi located in Bagmati Rural Municipality-8, with a goal from Prabin Basnet. Similarly, towards the end of the game, Hector added the second goal in the 83rd minute to confirm the victory of the American team.

Hector, who scored the second goal for BYSC, was declared the man of the match. He received a trophy along with cash of Rs. 5,000. Sankata Club and APF FC will take on each other in the final quarterfinal tomorrow.

A total of ten teams are participating in the tournament which includes seven A Division League sides, one foreign team and two local sides. The winners of the competition will receive a shield, medal and certificate along with cash of eight lakh rupees, while the runners-up will receive four lakh rupees.
