News Sethu FC Rope In Gita Rana For The Upcoming IWL Season

Kathmandu (GoalNepal) - Nepal National women's football team and APF FC defender Gita Rana has signed with Indian Women's League side Sethu FC. Gita has signed a one-year deal with the Indian outfit for the upcoming season of the Indian Women's League.

Nepal national women's team skipper Anjila Tumbapo Subba has also signed a deal with Sethu for the upcoming season.

Gita becomes the fourth female player from Nepal to be signed by the IWL side Sethu. Previously, forward Sabitra Bhandari and midfielder Anita Basnet have spent some time with Sethu. Gita has also spent some time with the Pakistani side Masha United FC alongside Anjila, Saru Limbu and Anita KC.

Sabitra Bhandari has been playing for Gokulam Kerala FC recently. With Gita and Anjila roped in by Sethu, all four players that have signed up to play in the IWL so far from Nepal come from APF FC.

Gita was an integral player of the Nepal national women's team in the recently concluded SAFF Women's Championship in Kathmandu. Nepal finished as the runners-up in the tournament after a defeat to Bangladesh in the final.
