News Makwanpur Gold Cup: Two Matches Today

Local-level Martyr's Memorial Makwanpur Gold Cup 2079 will continue today in Hetauda with two matches scheduled for today.

Friends Club and Nepal APF FC, Kathmandu will face each other in the first match of the day at 8:30 AM today at Piple Stadium. This match was scheduled for yesterday but was postponed due to water accumulation on the pitch. The winner of this match will face Nepal Army Club in the quarterfinals.

In the second match of the day, Khumaltar Youth Club will face Nepal Police Club. This match will kick off at 3:00 PM. The winner of this match will face Manang Marsyangdi Club in the quarterfinals.

The winner of the competition will get Rs 15 lakhs in cash along with the title while the runner-up will get Rs 10 lakhs. Similarly, those who excel in the individual category will also be given Rs 25,000 cash and a trophy each.

The Man of the Match of each game will get Rs 10,000 including a trophy and the best player in the competition will get a motorcycle sponsored by the Hetauda School of Management.

A total of 10 teams including top clubs of the country will participate in the competition.
