Indian Army (Red) goalkeeper Bhabindra Malla Thakuri who joined the national team closed camp a few days ago, has left the camp with a post on his Facebook account. He joined the camp after Bikesh Kuthu was called up but denied joining the camp, citing personal reasons.

Thakuri, who was previously talked about by head coach Abdullah Almutairi as a potential player for the national team, has left the camp, stating that he is "choosing family's future over Nepali football politics." He was given minutes in the second friendly against Avenir FC, which ended goalless.

Another player who happens to be an Indian Army, Sunil Shrestha, has also left the camp. Shrestha was one of 17 players called up by Almutairi after 10 players left the camp.
