Pragatishil Tamu Youth Group, Hwaku and Bhadragol Youth Group, Lisibung have entered the semifinals of the ongoing Madan Memorial Football Tournament at the historic Madan Mela 2078 in the men's category.

Hwaku entered the semifinals from the first match played at the Tri-Mohan Ma.Vi. ground on Sunday. Hwaku defeated Jiri Khimti Youth Club, Manglung 1-0 to reach the semifinals. The goal scored by Suren Rai was decisive for him.

Meanwhile, Deepak Chongbang, a member of the judging committee formed by the organizing committee after liking Jiri Khimti's game, handed over Rs 5,000 to Captain Bidur Limbu.

In the second match, Lisibung defeated Jamunkhadi Sporting Club, Jhapa 2-1 and made it to the last four. Sulsan Limbu scored two goals for Lisibung. Similarly, captain Dipen Bhujel scored a consolation goal for Jhapa.

The winner of the competition organized by the Madan Mela Committee will get Rs. 1,35,000 in cash and the runner-up will have to settle for Rs. 75,000 in cash. Similarly, the winner of the women's side will receive Rs 65,000 in cash and the runner-up Rs 40,000 in cash
