Tribhuwan Army FC salvage a point late on in the match in their bid to close the gap to the top in the Martyr's Memorial A Division League today. Army played a 1-1 draw against Jawalakhel Youth Club. Jawalakhel knew they needed points today after Friends Club came close to them roaring with a 5-2 win earlier today to increase their chances of staying up. And they were on their way to get all three points but were stunned by Army late on

Army had a lot of possession in the first half but could not create clear-cut chances to score. Jawalakhel Onguna Jr. looked on song today. He has two solo efforts saved by Bikesh Kuthu brilliantly in the first half. And Onguna was the one who gave Jawalakhel the lead in the second half. He showed great composure when he received the ball on the edge of the box and beat the defender ahead of him to put the ball in the corner of Bikesh Kuthu's net to register his first goal of the campaign.

Army's run of possession continued in the second half as well. But their best chances came late on in the match. In the 90th minute, JYC GK Tikendra caught the ball passed back to him by his own teammate and Army were awarded an indirect free-kick. But Tikendra saved the shot from Santosh Tamang well.

And a few minutes later in the seventh minute of added time, a beautiful Jagjeet Shrestha cross from the right was finished home by Suman Aryal from inside the six-yard box to break the Zookeepers' hearts.

With a point each, Army remain third with 18 points from 10 matches while Jawalakhel stay 11th with nine points from as many games.
