News Mauritius Football Team Honored

On Wednesday, a dinner was held in honor of Mauritius' national football squad. With a dinner and several functions given by the Consul General of Mauritius to Nepal, Mr. Ganesh Karki, the Nepal-Mauritius Business Council honored the Mauritius national football team in Nepal.

Consul General Karki expressed his delight at the opportunity to welcome and recognize the Mauritius football team in Nepal. He also stated that the world's response to the COVID outbreak will be remembered for its harmony. He expressed confidence in the development of tourism and other activities between the two nations with the adoption of COVID health standards in the coming days.

Council Chairman Batu Lamichhane welcomed the attendees to the ceremony, saying that the visit will improve Nepal-Mauritius people-to-people ties and contribute considerably to the promotion of tourism and trade between the two nations.

Nepal is a beautiful country, the birthplace of Buddha, the highest mountain in the world, a tourist destination full of mythological and archeological buildings, and the football matches would help in tourism exchange between the countries, according to Karma Tshering Sherpa, President of ANFA. He also wished the Mauritius team in Nepal a happy and successful stay.

At the event, which was held at the Wellness Organic Club Restaurant and included numerous cultural events, the Mauritius team was gifted with Nepali Dhaka topis, badges, and other beautiful works as a token of affection.

Sabrin Gautam, the organization's secretary, gave the welcoming address at the program, which was hosted by Yug Jung Karki, the organization's secretary. Rajani Thapa, the organization's treasurer, had distributed badges to all of the participants, including the Mauritius team.
