After a sluggish start in the Qatar Airways Martyrs' Memorial A Division League, Jawalakhel Youth Club won its first match in the fifth round.

With a close and critical 1-0 win over Chyasal in the fifth round, Jawalakhel relieved some of the strain of relegation. After that win, Jawalakhel climbed out of the relegation zone and into 12th place in the league table, accumulating 4 points in five games.

As significant as that win was for the club, Jawalakhel rewarded four of its players with cash and sports equipment on Tuesday in order to encourage them to continue playing in the league.

The club honored the African players Junior, Florent, Rup Bahadur Lama, and Rajendra Rawal with cash and sports equipment, stating that the team played well and worked hard.

Mahendra Chhetri, the club's president, presented the players with their rewards. Chairman Chhetri stated that he has awarded the players with cash and sports equipment in order to encourage them to give more on the field.

The event was also attended by club manager Kabir Basnet, head coach Kishor KC, and assistant coaches Naresh Thapa and Jagu Khadka.
