Ruslan Three Star Club skipper Nirajan Khadka clarified that he was trying to control the situation in today's incident happened in Simara.

Three Star club players involved in a fight during match against Far West XI. Incident happened right after regulation time finished with a score line of 1-1.

Martins first punched Bishwas Shrestha and then confronted with other Three Star club players.

Skipper Khadka said, "It isn't like that was seen in pics/video. As a captain, I was trying to control the situation. Peter (Segun) blocked me and it looked like I was involved.

"I truly follow sportsmanship. I am very sad about the incident. I apologized to all the Nepalese football fans", said Khadka.

Stars defeated Far West 4-2 on pens to enter semifinals.

Coach Megraj KC mentioned that he would discuss with the team management about the issue.

Tournament's disciplinary committe has immediately suspended Martins for two matches.
