GoalNepal.com has donated Rs 10,000 to Mangal Dvip Boarding School, Boudha marking the first anniversary of Jigme Gyaltsen Lama’s death.

The School organized a program at school meeting hall, which started with a minute of silence in commemoration of late Jigme Gyaltsen Lama.

Jigme Gyaltsen Lama died on July 5 during the Coca Cola Cup Inter School football match 2010 due to cardiac arrest.

GoalNepal.com’s CEO, Bikram Thapa donated Rs 10,000 to School’s principal Lama Sangye Tsering in the presence of School Director, Shirley Blair and Vice Principal, Jhabindra Subedi.

The donated amount will be used for buying football jersey for the school football team.

Speaking in the program, GoalNepal CEO, Bikram Thapa said, “We are still mourning the death of Jigme Gyaltsen Lama. Actually, we wanted to mark the first year of his death on 5th July but due to examination in the School, we postponed the date. We have also included the Jigme Gyaltsen Lama Award in GoalNepal Football Award, which will be held in the last month of Nepali year 2068”.

GoalNepal.com has established the award in memory of Lama – Jigme Gyaltsen Lama Award, which will be given to best U-19 football player.

School Director, Shirley Blair provided her sincere thanks to GoalNepal.com.

“We appreciate GoalNepal.com for the support”, Shirley said.

School Principal, Lama Sangye Tsering and school Vice Principal, Jhabindra Subedi thanked GoalNepal.com for the support.

School football team players were present at the program.

GoalNepal.com had earlier donated Rs 60,000 to late Jigme Gyaltsen Lama’s father. The money was collected from GoalNepal.com supporters present in different countries in the world.
