Bagmati club, Sarlahi has entered quarterfinals of 3rd Makwanpur gold cup football tournament in Hetauda.

Bagmati defeated Nepal APF 2-1 in the pre-quarterfinal match played at Forestry campus grounds on Sunday.

Bikram Dhimal put Bagmati ahead in the match in 37th minute and Sagar Shahi doubled the lead in 74th minute.

Rabi Thing scored one for APF in 83rd minute.

Bikram Dhimal became the man of the match and received NRs 10,000 cash. Bagmati will take on African Roots, Cameroon in the quarterfinal match.

On Monday, Sankata club will play against league champions Machhindra Club.

Makwanpur DFA is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 10 lakh.
