Province 4 Level First Mayor cup got underway at Bangechaur ground, Baglung on Tuesday.

Hosts Baglung defeated Palungtar municipality 4-3 on penalties to enter quarterfinals.

Both teams played 3-3 draw in regulation time and extra time before inviting a spot kick battle.

Palungtar coach Bikash Tamang said they couldn't prepare the team due to short notice.

Baglung coach Bhim Bahadur Bohora said his team lacked coordination.

11 municipalities are participating in the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 2,22,222.
