GoalNepal.com can confirm that Red Bull super league champions Three Star Club will take on McDowells Mohun Bagan in a friendly match on May 1 in Kathmandu.
ANFA spokesperson and Three Star Club president Lalit Krishna Shrestha confirmed that the friendly match was fixed.
"We are hosting Mohun Bagan in Kathmandu. It will be played on May 1", Shrestha said, "The match will be warm up for Three Star Club ahead of AFC Presidents Cup qualifiers".
Mohun Bagan coach Karim Bencherifa confirmed GoalNepal.com that they were coming to Kathmandu.
"We are coming to Kathmandu", Bencherifa told GoalNepal.com from Kolkata.
Last year also, Mohun Bagan travelled to Kathmandu but was beaten 2-0 by Nepal Police Club, which fielded Santosh Sahukhala, Sandip Rai and Biraj Maharjan from Three Star Club.
Meanwhile, Sikkim United has also been invited to play in a 3-match series but the Gangtok based club is yet to give their final confirmation.
