Church Boys United Club secured semifinals berth after beating Dharan FC 2-0 in the on-going 2nd Sanmiguel Mechi Gold Cup football tournament played at Kakarvitta High School ground on Wednesday.

Ganesh Khadka scored both the goals for the winning side.

Both teams played barren first half. Khadka scored in the 61st and 77th minute.

Ganesh Khadka of Church Boys was adjudged the GoalNepal.com man of the match.

Prayag United XI, Calcutta will take on Global Sporting Club, Assam in semifinal match tomorrow.

Kakarvitta Club is organizing the championship which has a cash purse of Rs 1,10,000.
