Prayag United Sports club XI defeated Sikkim Academy 3-0 to enter semifinals in on-going 2nd Mechi Gold Cup football tournament on Sunday.

Fransis Xavier struck twice and Bobby shah added another for the Kolkata based club.

Shah opened the firing in the very first minute. Fransis Xavier doubled the tally in 10th minutes of the game.

After the lemon break, Xavier again scored to the scoreline 3-0.

Sahara Club Pokhara will take on Dharan FC in third quarterfinal match on Monday.

Kakarvitta Club is organizing the championship which has a cash purse of Rs 1,05000.
