Nepal including other seven SAARC countries are participating in Japan SAARC U-14 Football exchange program that Japan is hosting to support Disaster Affected Areas to be held from 7-20 October 2012.
To promote mutual friendship and understanding among the young students of SAARC region the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan invites the high school students of the SAARC region to visit Japan, who will assume great responsibility in the 21st century to exchange views on issues from a global perspective.
By providing a forum for the exchange of opinions among the members of this diverse group, the Program aims to overcome the barriers of language and culture.
In an effort to promote international mutual understanding, the program aims to cultivate an understanding of Japan among the overseas participants.
Nepal, India, Maldives, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Pakistan, Afghanistan and two teams from Japan will take part in the event.
