Nepal National Women's Team Skipper Jamuna Gurung expressed her happiness with the runners up honor in recently held 2nd SAFF Women's Championship in Colombo.
After landing at TIA, skipper Gurung said that she was happy with the performance they showed in Colombo and admitted that they had to work hard to win the title next year.
"We could not lift the title but I am happy to become runners up", Gurung said, "We did good in group stage matches".
Skipper Gurung confessed that ladies were under pressure in the second half of the final against India.
"We scored the first goal but we simply couldn't hold the tempo. We played good first half but we were under pressure in the second half. Indians performed technically and tactically better game than us in the second half".
When a journo asked Gurung is it bacause of lack of training?
Gurung answered: NO, India were physically superior to us. We will try to win the title next time.
