Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Force, Prem Kumar Shrestha, who is travelling with Nepal National women's team as an official, handed over Rs 10,000 to three players who were adjudged best in the semifinal match against Sri Lanka in 2nd SAFF Women's Championship played at CR&FC Grounds on Friday.
Rs 10,000 was divided among three players; defender Bhagwati Thapa, Dipa Adhikari and goalie Namita Dali.
DSP Shrestha handed over the money to those players at dressing room right after the match.
Shrestha is honoring the best players with cash prize in every match to boost their morale. Shrestha had awarded the players with Rs 5,000 in all three group stage matches. The best players in the final match will get Rs 15,000.
Players expressed their happiness to receive the prize from DSP Shrestha.
Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 to enter final and will play against India for the title on September 16 at Cr&FC Grounds, Colombo.
