Nepal National team midfielder, Niru Thapa has been declared the women of the match for her outstanding performance against Afghanistan which Nepal won 7-1 to top the group and set semis clash against Sri Lanka on September 14.
Thapa scored twice and played beautiful game throughout the match for which APF deputy Superintendent, Prem Kumar Shrestha handed over USD 55 .
"Niru played well and she scored two beautiful goals. I am happy for her. We are improving day by day but we still have some rooms to improve for semifinals match".
DSP Shrestha also congratulated the entire team for entering the semifinals with three wins in a row.
"We are not near to our mission. We are on the base camp. Mount Everest is still up. We have just packed up Oxygen Cylinder on our back and ready to climb".
"We must conquer the Everest (title)", added Shrestha.
Niru Thapa, after receiving USD 55, expressed her happiness for being able to show good game.
"I am happy to get reward from Prem (sir)", Thapa said, "I am thankful to him".
DSP Shrestha is honoring the best player of every match with USD 55 individually.
Nepal will take on Sri Lanka in the semifinal match on September 14.
