ANFA President Ganesh Thapa has high hopes from Nepal National Women's Team in 2nd SAFF Women Championship scheduled on September 7-17 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
While bidding farewell to the National team at Dasrath Stadium, prez Thapa said that he was expecting good result from women's team in the South Asian Championship.
"At a time when men's senior football is not producing good result, women's team has produced good results in several occasions and we have rewarded them in many occasions."
"I am sure this team will perform their best and lift the title. I wish them all the best, " Thapa said.
Thapa added that ANFA was committed to provide more facilities to the women footballers.
"ANFA has already decided to give Rs 5000 monthly salary to the Nepal National Women players", Thapa added, "We will also award ladies footballer with Rupak Memorial Award and will organize league football in the month of Magh".
"ANFA is very much committed to develop ladies football in Nepal." Thapa added.
