Nepal National Women's Team faced defeat at the hands of ANFA Academy team 1-2 in a friendly match played at APF ground, Halchowk on Tuesday.

The match was organized to shortlist the players to final 20. The team is going to Colombo on September 4 for 2nd SAFF Women Championship scheduled on September 7-17.

ANFA will shortlist the squad within a couple of days.

Bishal Chandra Wajee provided a lead to U-14 team in the 43rd minute. Sandesh Neupane doubled the tally in the 57th minute.

Nepal National women team skipper Jamuna Gurung cut the deficit in the 72nd minute.

"We have organized this match to shortlist the team", head coach Kishor KC said, "We will announce the final squad as soon as possible".
