Nothing is going right in Nepalese contingent!
After losing to Maldives 1-2 in its opening match on Thursday, disgruntled Nepalese side have had two practice sessions ahead of Cameroon clash but the Gorkhalis couldn't practice well due to heavy rainfall here in New Delhi.
Friday training session was cancelled while Saurday's training session was interrupted by heaven downpour. Adding woes on coach Krishna Thapa's head, goalie Kiran Chemjong is suffering from fever.
Goalie Ritesh Thapa was criticized heavily for his poor performance in the match against Maldives.
This is going to be the first meeting for both teams in international football. Cameroon has brought second string side to New Delhi for Nehru Cup.
"We couldn't practice well due to inclement weather but that shouldn't be the excuses", Thapa said, "Cameroon may be strong strong side but we have watched their game against Syria. They were under par but they played physical game", said Thapa.
"Our target is to play a draw match against Cameroon", Thapa revealed.
Coach Thapa also revealed that they had decided to change three to four players from the Maldives line up.
"We will change three to four players from Maldives line up", Thapa, however, kept mum over providing the name of the players.
GoalNepal.com learned that Sujal Shrestha, Rupesh KC and Nirajan Khadka can make it to the first eleven with Jumanu Rai partnering with Bharat Khawas up front.
Cameroon coach Emmanuel Endoumbe said that they were not in position to take Nepal lightly.
"We can't take Nepal lightly after playing 2-2 draw against Syria", Endoumbe said, "Hopefully we can play the match on dry pitch".
