Armed Police Force (APF) Lakhanpur defeated hosts Jhiljile Sports Development committee 2-1 to lift the title of 1st Prajwol Memorial Cup football tournament played at Satasidham on Saturday.
APF Lakhapur defeated the hosts team in front of capacity crowd of more than 2000.
Khagendra Bhujel put APF ahead in the match in 31st minute. Bhujel placed the ball straight into the net through free kick taken from 25 yard distance.
Nabin Choudhary doubled the tally right after the break in 46th minute utilizing a pin point header pass off Khagendra Bhujel.
Hosts team then looked spirited after conceding two goals and managed to cut the deficit in 66th minute through Harsha Dhimal. Dhimal capitalized on the pass provided by skipper Nabir Fago.
The winning team APF Lakhanpur received Rs 15,000, trophy, medals and certificates.

Khagendra Bhujel of APF was declared the highest goal scorer with five goals. Bhakta Bhandari was adjudged the player of the tournament and the best goalkeeper award went to Denjo Tamang of hosts team.
Jhapa FA president Jal Kumar Gurung distributed the prizes to the winners.
Meanwhile, Satashi Press Club Jhapa defeated Fourty Plus 1-0 in a friendly match played at the same ground. Journalist Anil Yadav scored the match winning goal for the scribes.
