Nepal National team head Coach Krishna Thapa announced a 21-member final squad for the up-coming Nehru Cup 2012 which is scheduled on August 22-September 2 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, India.
Nepal, Cameroon, Maldives, Syria and India are participating in the championship which will be played on round robin basis.
Midfielder Rupesh KC and goalie Bikesh Kuthu have made it to the National squad for the first time.
Sujal Shrestha, Jagjeet Shrestha & Anil Ojha have been re-called to the team while injured Bijaya Gurung managed to recover injury for the final squad. The notable players who are ommitted from the squad are Bikash Malla, Shiva Shrestha, Tanka Basnet, Deepak Bhusal and Robin Shestha.
Shrestha, Bhusal and Tanka couldn't make it to the final cut while Shrestha is recuperating from his operated left ear.
Nepal will open the campaign taking on Maldives on August 23.
