Pokhara Valley Sports Club defeated LG Association 1-0 to lift the title of 2nd Lakeside 7-A-Side cup football tournament on Saturday.

Sushant Rai scored the match winning goal for Valley Sports Club. The winning team received Rs 61,000, trophy, medals and certificates while the runners up team got Rs 41,000.

Both teams, officials, guests and spectators observed a minute silence before the match to remember Ranjan Thapa and Sagar Pariyar - two Nepal U-14 players - who died in a road accident.

Sushant Rai of Valley Sports was declared best player of the tournament who got Rs 12,500 as the prize.

Suman Gurung of LG was adjudged the best goalie, Roshan Hirachan of Valley Sports the best defender, Bickey Gurung of Valley Sports the best midfielder, Subin Shrestha of Sangam Club the highest goal scorer.
