Nepal National women team has started training from Monday for up-coming 2nd SAFF Women Championship starting from 7th of September in Colombo, Sri Lanka from September 7-17.
Only twenty nine players turned up in the first day of the training. ANFA announced 46- member preliminary squad on Friday.
The head coach of the team Kishor KC informed GoalNepal.com that the players from Nepal Army and Nepal Police were yet to join the team.
"We are still waiting 15 players to join the team. They are mostly from APF and Nepal Army. They will join the team by Tuesday", coach KC told GoalNepal.com.
Coach KC said that they had just 30 days to prepare which he thinks is less.
"We could have started our preparation quite early but there is nothing to worry about", coach KC said, "We have selected the best players from the recently held 14th Ncell National Women Championship. We will work hard day-night to build a solid team for the SAFF championship".
Coach KC has planned to select final squad after a week training and then go for rapid training for girls.
