Nepal National team will open its campaign against  Maldives in the up-coming Nehru Cup Football Tournament which is kicking off on August 22 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.

Defending Champions India will take  on Syria in the opening match of the tournament on 22nd August.

Nepal,Maldives, Syria, Cameroon and  hosts India are competing in the tournament.

Each team will play with each other once in the Group League matches with the top two, the Group Winners and the Group Runners-up advancing to the final.

Fixtures Of Nehru Cup 2012:

August 22, 2012: India vs Syria
August 23, 2012:  Maldives vs Nepal
August 24, 2012: Syria vs Cameroon
August 25, 2012:  India vs Maldives
August 26, 2012: Nepal vs Cameroon
August 27, 2012:  Maldives vs Syria
August 28, 2012:  India vs Nepal
August 29, 2012:  Cameroon vs Maldives
August 30, 2012:  Syria vs Nepal
August 31, 2012: India vs Cameroon

Group winners will take on Group Runners-up in the final match  on September 2.

All matches will be played at 7:15 PM NST.

This is the first time Nepal is participating in Nehru Cup.
