At the time, when important players like Bikash Malla, Robin Shrestha are unable to attend the training camp due to injury and illness, Nepal National team coach Krishna Thapa has sent warning to those National players who have not attended their club's training session.
Bikash Malla has ruptured his ACL while Robin Shrestha had recently undergone surgery of his left perforated eardrum and suffered from post operative infection.
Coach Thapa exclusively told GoalNepal.com that he wouldn't compromise with anything when it comes to the fitness of the players.
"I have seen some of the senior national players who haven't joined their respective club's practice session for Ncell Cup", coach Thapa said, "This is unacceptable to me. I want my boys to be fit before moving to New Delhi".
Thapa also raised question on the professional attitude of the players.
"How can senior players just stay at home and don't participate in club's training session?", Thapa questioned.
Thapa, however, didn't name the players who are cheating with their job.
Thapa also said that remaining 18 days for Nehru Cup was enough for the team to gain complete fitness.
"It depends upon how we train", Thapa added, "We have limited time for the preparation but we can bring the players' fitness level to par level".
Nepal is taking part in Nehru Cup along with Cameroon, Maldives, Syria and hosts India. India is organizing the championship to mark 75th anniversary of All India Football Federation.
