All Nepal Football announced a preliminary squad for Nehru Cup Football Tournament on Saturday.
According to ANFA Spokesperson
Lalit Krishna Shrestha, Nepal National Team head coach Krishna Thapa and his assistants have selected 29 players. The training will start from Sunday.
Nehru Cup is starting from August 22 in New Delhi. Nepal, India, Syria, Maldives and Cameroon are participating in the championship which will be played on round robin basis. This is the first time that Nepal is participating in the prestigious Nehru Cup.
Bikesh Kuthu, Anil Ojha, Sujal Shrestha, Rupesh KC, Jagjeet Shrestha, Bijaya Gurung, Shiva Shrestha, Dinesh Thapa and Bikash Singh Chhetri have been called to the National camp after their impressive performance in AFC U-22 Qualifiers held in Nepal in June.
The selected 29 players are as follows:
GK: Kiran Chemzong (MTSC), Bikash Malla( Nepal Army Club), Ritesh Thapa(NPC), Bikesh Kuthu (IMYA), Dinesh Thapa (MFC)
