All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to award the best player of 14th Women Championship with a scooter.
ANFA Administrator Gokul Thapa confirmed that the football governing body would award the player with "special gift".
14th Women Championship is starting from July 14 in Chandranigahapur. The championship will also be played in Simara where the matches will start from July 15.
In all, 27 teams — 24 districts and three departmental teams are participating in the event which has a winning cash purse of Rs 300,000. The runners up team will receive half of that amount. The losing semi-finalists will also get Rs 50,000 each.
Best player in each department of the tournament will get Rs 25,000 each.
Rautahat, Nawalparasi, Taplejung, Surkhet, Kailali, Saptari, Morang, Bardiya, Panchthar, Dolakha, APF, Jhapa and Dhanusha will play in Rautahat. The semifinal winner from Chandranigahapur will join another semifinal winners in Bara in the final on August 13.
Udaypur, Kathmandu, Kanchanpur, Dhankuta, Bara, Makawanpur, NPC, Sarlahi, Kaski, TAC, Rupandehi, Sunsari, Chitwan and Banke will play their knockout matches in Bara.
ANFA will select the best players from the Championship for a preliminary camp for SAFF Championship which will be held in Sri Lanka in the first week of September.
