Rautahat FA officials are all ready for the opening match of 14th National Women Championship starting from 14th July at Chandranigahapur.
Rautahat FA president Nepal Karki is excited ahead of the opening day.
"We are ready for the championship as we have completed all the preparation", prez Karki told GoalNepal.com.
Hosts Rautahat district is taking on Nawalparasi in the opening match on Saturday.
"NSC member secretary Yubaraj Lama will be the chief guest of the event", Karki added.
ANFA president Ganesh Thapa is also travelling to Chandranigahapur along with other ANFA officials for the inauguration program.
In all, 27 teams — 24 districts and three departmental teams are participating in the event which has a winning cash purse of Rs 300,000. The runners up team will receive half of that amount. The losing semi-finalists will also get Rs 50,000 each.
Best player in each department of the tournament will get Rs 25,000 each.
Rautahat, Nawalparasi, Taplejung, Surkhet, Kailali, Saptari, Morang, Bardiya, Panchthar, Dolakha, APF, Jhapa and Dhanusha will play in Rautahat. The semifinal winner from Chandranigahapur will join another semifinal winners in Bara in the final on August 13.
Udaypur, Kathmandu, Kanchanpur, Dhankuta, Bara, Makawanpur, NPC, Sarlahi, Kaski, TAC, Rupandehi, Sunsari, Chitwan and Banke will play their knockout matches in Bara.
ANFA will select the best players from the Championship for a preliminary camp for SAFF Championship which will be held in Sri Lanka in the first week of September.
