The City Academy defeated Navin English Secondary School 1-0 in Coca Cola Cup selection football tournament played at Sanogaucharan football ground on Tuesday.
Krishna Khadka scored the match winning goal for City in the 44th minute.
World Youth Intl School defeated Pawan Prakriti School 2-1 in the second match of the day. Sushant Shrestha and Prabin Shrestha scored for World Youth while Kchitiz Lama scored a consolation goal for Pawan Prakriti.
KUHS defeated Shamvabi School 4-0 in the third match of the day.
Ayush Yogal struck twice (6th, 39th) while Nimesh Ghimire and Rohit Makaju added apiece for the winning side.
Hindu Bidhya Peeth hammered Highly Creative School 9-1 in another match played at the same venue.
Sunidap Khatiwoda scored four goals alone while Raju Tamang, Pawan Silwal, Ujjwol Thapa, Anup Poudel and Subash Shrestha scored apiece for Bidhyapeeth.
Akash Dip Boarding School defeated Madan Bhandari Memorial School 1-0 in the last match of the day. Om Bahadur Magar scored the match winning goal in 56th minutes of the play.
Total 511 school teams of Nepal are participating in the tournament which has a cash prize of Rs.2,00,000.
The tournament is organized by ANFA with the help of Ministry of Sports and is sponsored by Bottlers Nepal Pvt. Ltd., producer of Coca-Cola.
