The Celebration Co Ed defeated Basu Ma Vi 4-1 in Coca Cola Cup selection football tournament played at Sanogaucharan football ground on Monday.

Rabi Mathema and Rabindra Silwal struck twice each for the celebration. Lokendra Ghimire scored a consolation goal for the losing side.

In the second match of the day, Gorakshya Nikhil defeated Green Lawns Academy 6-0. Shiva Rana scored four goals alone while Roshna Khadka and Anuj Karki scored apiece for the winning side.

Namuna English School thrashed Arun Jyoti Bidhya Mandir 5-0 in the third match of the day.

Hensel Subedi scored twice while JB Tamang, Dilip Marke and Sagar Khatri scored apiece for Namuna.

Sagarmatha Ma Vi defeated Gayodaya Ma Vi 5-4 on penalties in the fourth match of the day. The match was forced to spot kick battle after 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Eden School defeated Future Star School 1-0 in the last match of the day. Anup Shrestha scored the match winning goal in 68th minute of the play.

Total 511 school teams of Nepal are participating in the tournament which has a cash prize of Rs.2,00,000.

The tournament is organized by ANFA with the help of Ministry of Sports and is sponsored by Bottlers Nepal Pvt. Ltd., producer of Coca-Cola.
