New Namuna defeated Western Academy 2-1 in Coca Cola Cup Inter school football selection football tournament played on Friday.

Namuna came from a goal down to beat Western Academy.

Western Academy opened the firing in 10th minutes of the game but they couldn't hold the lead.

Sunil Pariyar levelled the score 10 minutes later and Pariyar again scored in 57th to provide win to Namuna.

Amarjyoti School toiled hard to beat Nawajyoti School 4-3 on penalties.

The match was forced to spot kick battle after both teams played 1-1 draw in regulation time.


Total 511 school teams of Nepal are participating in the tournament which has a cash prize of Rs.2,00,000.

The tournament is orgnized by ANFA with the help of Ministry of Sports and is sponsored by Bottlers Nepal Pvt. Ltd., producer of Coca-Cola.
