Nexus International School defeated Yasodhara Ma VI 3-1 in Coca Cola Cup inter School selection football tournament played at Sano gaucharan football ground on Friday.

Bipin Kunwar struck twice while Anjil Shrestha added another for Nexus.

Subash Bhandari scored a consolation goal for the losing side.

New Dirghayu registered second win in a row in Coca cola Cup as they defeated Radiant academy 4-3 on penalties. The match was forced to spot kick battle after both teams played 2-2 draw in regulation time.

Indradhanush School defeated Asian Public School 5-2. Bibek Adhikari scored twice, Karan Malla, Sailesh Thapa and Akash Katuwal scored apiece for the winning side. Bupendra Bista and Saroj Bhandari scored for Asian Public School.

Bidhya Bikash School defeated Annapurna Ma VI 3-0 in another match played at the same venue.


AIMS School defeated Paropakar Ma VI 4-1 in the last match of the day.

Total 511 school teams of Nepal are participating in the tournament which has a cash prize of Rs.2,00,000.

The tournament is orgnized by ANFA with the help of Ministry of Sports and is sponsored by Bottlers Nepal Pvt. Ltd., producer of Coca-Cola.
