Nepal National U-22 team head coach, Krishna Thapa has accepted his mistake for not substituting in-confident goalie, Bishal Shrestha quite early in the game.
"I accepted my mistake. I should have ejected him quite early. I think I should have taken him out after we level the score", Coach Thapa said, "We failed in our plan".
"But I was cautious because Deepak Bhushal had to leave the field due to injury and Prabin Karki had already subsituted Shiva Shrestha", Thapa said, "I thought that I might need one player in reserve in the wee hours".
"In today's match, our defense line and goalie made lot of mistakes. We bagged early goals but we managed to level the score", Coach Thapa added, "But soon after conceding third goal, the morale of the players went down".
"Five or Six players only turned up in the match", Coach Thapa added, "Other players were just stretching their legs".
Coach, however, mentioned that he was happy with the players' performance in three matches of the qualifiers.
"I m happy with my boys performance. We had one and half month preparation but boys performed their best except some problem in defense line and goalkeeping".
"The future is bright. We can add some physical players in this squad and we can make our National strong team in coming years".
Thapa also praised skipper Bharat Khawas for his heroics performance in the qualifiers.
"He is a true skipper. He was involved in our two goals that we scored today against Uzbekistan", Thapa added, "Bharat is still young and has a plenty of football left in him. He can be the best striker in South Asia".
