Nepal National U-22 team will try to overcome bitter defeat against Yemen U-22 when they take on Uzbekistan U-22 in its third tie of AFC U-22 Qualifiers at Dasrath Stadium on Wednesday.
Nepal National U-22 had started the qualifiers in a brighter note beating Bangladesh 4-1 in its first match but slumped 0-1 loss to Yemen on Monday.
Nepal have three points in its kitty from two matches while Uzbeks have same three points from a single match.
On the other hand, Uzbekistan toiled hard to beat Bangladesh 2-1 in its first match. The Uzbeks - who look taller and muscular than other players - are the highest FIFA ranked team in the group.
FIFA Ranking: Nepal (149), Uzbekistan (66)
Nepal Coach Krishna Thapa:
"We are now under pressure. We had targeted to beat Bangladesh and Yemen but failed to beat latter", Coach Thapa added, "We now have nothing to loose. We will adopt an attacking strategy against Uzbekistan".
"Uzbekistan looked dismal against Bangladesh. We have analyzed their game well", Thapa added.
Uzbekistan Coach Estaveef Alekshey:
"Nepalese players play fast game. They are quick. I have seen them play against Bangladesh and Yemen. We have to be cautious with No 10, No 8 and No 21 (Jagjeet, Anil Ojha and Bharat Khawas)".
"We couldn't play well against Bangladesh but it will be different story against Nepal", Alekshey said, "We don't want to lose the match".
