Bangladesh National U-22 team coach, Syed Golam Jilani washed off the rumor that he had pressure on the selection of first eleven for the match against Uzbekistan National U-22 which they lost 1-2 at Dasrath Stadium on Monday.
Coach Jilani fielded five reserve players in the match, which was a surprise to visiting Bengali Journalists.
Rana, Sohel Rana, Wahed, Yeasin, Rana are the players who were in the substitute bench in the match against Nepal.
When one Bangladeshi Journo asked him whether he was put on pressure for the first eleven, coach Jilani said, "I had no pressure at all. I selected the first eleven without any pressure from any source".
"Boys played well against good side (Uzbekistan) but we couldn't hold the tempo after levelling the goal", Jilani added, "Now we will try to improve our game in remaining two matches".
Coach Jilani also said that the qualification to the final round is now looking bleak.
"It will now be difficult for us to say that we can qualify for the final round", Jilani added.
Meanwhile, stand-in skipper Munna said that they lost the match due to mental presssure.
Munna, however, didn't elaborate more on the mental pressure they faced.
