Coca-cola Cup selection Football Tournament kicked off here in Pokhara, Kaski on Wednesday. 78 schools participated in a parade in which they took the salute of DIG Prem Kumar Shahi.

Mukti Bahini APF DIG Prem Kumar Shahi inaugurated the opening match by handing over football to the referee Arjun Gurung.

DIG Shahi said that school level tournaments are very significant for the development of the game. He also emphasized on the availability of good infrastructures for the development of the game.

Rameshwor Ma Vi won against Paramount Boarding School 3-0 in the opening match played at Pokhara Stadium.

Anil BK opened the account for Rameshwor in the very first minute. Jiwan Gautam doubled the tally in the 33rd minute.Anil Pun tripled the tally in the 38th minute.

Chief guest ANFA Kaski President Khem Gurung, ANFA Kaski VP Gopi Bhattarai and ANFA Kaski secretary Buddhi Khatri also delivered their speech in the inauguration program.

73 boys team and 18 girls team are participating in this school level tournament.20 government schools and 53 private schools are representing  the boys team while 3 government schools and 15 private schools are representing for the girls team.

The tournament is being organised by ANFA in the sponsorship of Bottlers Nepal Terai Limited while it is managed by ANFA Kaski.
