A big jolt to Nepal ahead of the qualifiers.....
Nepal National U-22 team left back Robin Shrestha has torn knee meniscus and is struggling to take part in the training session.
Nepal National U-22 team head coach, Krishna Thapa knows how serious this case is as he said, "Robin is one of the important players in the team. He is an experienced player. This is a worrying part for us as he has torn the meniscus at the knee".
"We haven't taken any risk and have asked him to take complete rest. We are expecting his quick recovery", Thapa added.
"We have Sabindra Shrestha who is fit and plays in the same position. We have options ready but we need him (Shrestha) fit for the qualifiers".
The team physio, Nawal Gurung also believes that Robin can be fit ahead of the opener against Bangladesh on June 16.
"He is recovering well but he needs few days rest", Gurung added.
Physio Gurung, however, said that the team is looking strong with no other players being injured.
"We are all ready. Boys are in good shape and we are ready for the matches", Gurung concluded.
