Nepal National U-22 team striker-cum-midfielder, Bharat Khawas has been nominated in NSJF Pulsar Popular player of the year award along with Shakti Gauchan (cricket), Aslesha (Lawn Tennis), Sabita (Athletics), Ramila Tandukar (Volley ball).
Coach Thapa believes that Khawas may be under pressure for his NSJF PoY nomination.
"I have understood the point and I have briefed him (Khawas) about it", Coach Thapa said, "I have told him to concentrate more for the AFC Qualifiers rather than voting process".
"To be crowned as Pulsar PoY can be life time achievement for him but he shouldn't feel pressure because we are close to the important qualifiers", Thapa added.
"Khawas is very important player in the team. We have expected a lot from him in this qualifiers", Coach Thapa added.
Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) is organizing annual NSJF sports awards on July 4 in Kathmandu.
There are eight categories in the sports awards; Pulsar Player of the year, Pulsar Best Player (Male), Pulsar Best Player (Female), Best Coach, Best Young player, Best Para Athelete, Lifetime Achievement Award, Special award and Popular player of the year.
The best player of the year male & female will get one Pulsar mobike each while other winners in each category will receive Rs 30,000.
