Coca Cola Cup Kathmandu Inter School selection football tournament is starting from 14th of June.
The selection tournament will kick off in Pokhara from June 13 while the selection tournament in Biratnagar, Butwal and Dhangadi are scheduled to start from July 16, July 17 and July 25 respectively.
40 boys team and five girls team of Butwal, seventy seven boys team and seventeen girls team of Kaski, thirty five boys team and nine girls team from Nepalgunj, 25 boys team and five girls team from Dhangadi, 95 boys team and seven girls team from Biratnagar and 176 boys team and 20 girls teams from Kathmandu are participating in the selection tournament that will be held at their respective places.
Total 511 school teams of Nepal are participating in the tourney which has a cash prize of Rs.2,00,000.
The total budget of the tournament is Rs 4m. Nepal government has provided Rs 1.8m while the main sponsor Coca Cola has provided Rs 1.5m.
The players who played Coca Cola Cup and now playing in A Division League were also present at the program. Sulav Maskey, Dinesh Karki, Rupesh KC, Deepak Gurung and Buddha Lama are those players.
