All Nepal football association (ANFA) has informed that AFC U-14 football festival official inauguration will be held on Jestha 6 at Dasrath Stadium.
ANFA added that they had prepared everything for up-coming AFC Youth U-14 football festival starting from 19th of May at Dasrath Stadium.
Nepal, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are participating in the festival.
The football festival will be played in two formats; 30 minutes and 60 minutes. All the players in the team must play in the field. The players of the team also need to appear in the skills test.
ANFA will encamp all the visitors at ANFA Complex, Satdobato, Lalitpur.
Speaking in the program, AFC U-14 football festival project manager, John Whittle thanked ANFA for organizing developmental programs for the game.
"Though we (AFC) have funded the festival, it's ANFA who is doing everything. My sincere thanks to ANFA for hosting this event in Nepal", Whittle told reporters.
AFC VP and ANFA President, Ganesh Thapa said that the FA was proud to host the festival in Nepal.
"We have got the rights to host the festival for two years", President Thapa said, "But we actually want to host this event for four years. If we manage to host this festival for four years, we (Nepal) can produce necessary referees, coaches and physios which will ultimately help us to develop the game in the country".
