Iceberg Madhyapur Youth Association (IMYA) Coach, Upendra Man Singh expressed his delightment over his boys' performance in the match against brawny Nepal Army in British Gurkha Cup football tournament played at Dasrath Stadium on Thursday.
The newly promoted team put on an impressive show against Army but faced a defeat in the extra added time.
Nawayug Shrestha scored the match winning goal for Army.
Speaking with the press, Coach Singh said, "What more you can expect from the rookies. They played well and they have impressed me. To play 120 minutes against team like Army is very impressive. I don't have any complaint".
"My boys were tired and couldn't match the pace of Armymen", Coach Singh added, "Most of the players were playing their debut top flight match at Dasrath Stadium. I am happy for them because they played confidently".
"We will work hard. Boys are young and they are eager to learn", Coach Singh added, "We will definitely make a good side for the league".
