Gorkha Boys, Rupendehi defeated ANFA U-17 football team 3-1 on penalties to enter final in Bhojpur Gold Cup football tournament played at Bhojpur football ground on Wednesday.
Gorkha Boys, Rupendehi toiled hard to beat ANFA U-17 3-1 on penalties to enter final in Bhojpur Gold Cup football tournament on Wednesday.
The match was forced to spot kick battle after both teams were tied at 2-2.
Saurav Magar, Rabin Thapa and Raj Poudel scored for Gorkha Boys while Rungri Hang Rai couldn't score from ANFA side.
Earlier, the match started in a blistered pace with both teams exchanging early blows.
Krishna Lama scored the first goal for Gorkha Boys but the joy was short lived as Heman Gurung, the skipper of ANFA U-17, levelled the score seven minutes later.
After the break, both teams appeared aggressively and created goal scoring chances at frequent intervals.
Noor Raj Kafle scored a rare goal in 64th minutes of the game. ANFA boys responded quickly as they levelled the score a minute later through striker Rishi Thapa Magar.
ANFA U-17 skipper, Heman Gurung was adjudged the man of the match.

The final match will be played between Gorkha Boys and Dhankuta FC on Thursday.
