ANFA U-17 team defeated 10-man Nawa Jana Jagriti Yuwa Club 3-1 in the opening match of 3rd Simara Gold Cup Football Tournament played in Simara on Tuesday.

The Colts entered quarterfinals and awaits the winner between Samsung JYC versus Sahara Club, which is scheduled on Wednesday.

Heman Gurung scored twice while Suraj Hamal added another for the colts.

Ashim Jung Karki scored a consolation goal for the losing side. Samir ale of NJJYC was red carded in the second half.
