AFC U-16 Qualifiers: Syria Is Looking For 3-in-3
Sep 15, 2011 06:42:52 PM

Syria U-16 Coach, Mohannad is looking confident for third win a row in the last match against Oman U-16 in AFC U-16 Qualifiers at APF Halchowk Ground on Thursday.

Syrians are atop with six points from two matches while Oman has three points in its kitty.

Coach Mohannad told that his boys were excited after winning the match against Saudi Arabia and will continue the winning spree beating Oman in the last match.

"We want to win the last match also", Mohannad said, "My boys are excited after the win against Saudi Arabia. We want to top the group".

Oman Coach, Peter Van Der Horst is also looking optimistic for the win and qualify for the final round.

"I have told my boys to work hard", Horst added, "We will play for the win".

Horst also questioned about the over-age issue.

"The AFC must examine Syrian boys properly", Horst added, "They looked over-aged".

The win will not only be sufficient for Oman if Saudis beat Nepal in another match. If that will be the case, all three teams will have same six points but goal difference will decide who will move forward.
