Though Nepal have been awarded the hosting rights of AFC Challenge Cup 2012 finals, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) advised ANFA to meet all the hosting criteria according to a deadline set by the administration.
The AFC ex-co committee decided to endorse Nepal as the host of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 Finals on Friday.
Nepal won the bid leapfrogging Maldives and Palestine.
However, AFC have advised ANFA to improve infrastructures including practice grounds. AFC, however, hasn't published the deadline.
Some of the key areas ANFA needs to work on:
Media Tribune: Dasrath Stadium is one of the un-friendly stadiums in Asia. It doesn't have proper media tribune with proper electrical plug-ins and internet facilities
Mixed Zone: There is no channel for Mixed Zone
Public Transportation : ANFA needs to assure AFC about the easy accessbility/availability of public transport for possible fans coming to Kathmandu.
The other areas are Toilets, seat number arrangements and security.
Nepal shall host the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 in March in Kathmandu.
