Former FIFA assistant referee, Ganesh Shrestha has passed away on Monday evening at Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal.

Shrestha was suffering from prolong Pnuemonia. Shrestha has two sons and wife in his family.

Shrestha participated in the referee training in Singapore in 2011 and officiated the match in SAF Games final between India and Pakistan.
