Jul 4, 2011 11:48:56 PM

South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) officials are inspecting Barabati Stadium, Cuttak, Orrsia next month before finalizing the venue for the SAFF championship.

Barabati Stadium is the sole venue for the eight-team SAFF Championship scheduled in December this year.

The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) are to conduct an inspection on Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium, Orissa on July 11 to ensure that the venue meets the required standards.

The Indian media reported that SAFF were interested to host the SAFF Championship in New Delhi but All India Football Federation (AIFF) decided to host the Championship in Orrisa in its ex-co meeting held in May.

Alberto Colaco and Kushal Das, the general secretaries of SAFF and AIFF respectively, along with a representative from WSG are scheduled to visit the Barabati Stadium next month.
